My Story

I started 3D Printing around 2021 after I returned from Army Basic Training. My older brother was the one who introduced it to me. He started off with a small resin 3D printer and a small filament printer. He would make anything from small figures to pieces of a helmet and assemble them together. Around 2022 he moved out of the area but was not able to take the printers with him due to space and they were outdated models. He said I could have them, and to learn how to print! I brought them home and started to learn. After several months of trial and error I became proficient in printing, so I decided to buy my own printers. I went to Elegoo.com and got myself the top-of-the-line resin and filament printers. My prints were bigger, more detailed, and more amazing than before! I started to show my friends and family and especially my older brother! I later started to have people request prints from me! My brother told me that I could make some money from this. I considered this heavily, my life already has two jobs! The military and civilian job. He helped me work out the numbers and told me what I could do and that it could be my full-time civilian job if/when it takes off. So, after talking it over with my wife, my brother, and some of my friends I decided to go for it. Here we are today! The Start of Smiths 3D Prints begins mid Feb of 2024! Lets make amazing creations together!
